Exploring Acrylics and Oils
Instructor: Robin Barnes
Wanting to learn to paint with Acrylic or Oil Paints or improve on your skills? Robin will give a brief demonstration each week at the beginning of the class then provide individual instruction to each student as you work on your own project.
In this four (4) week class you will learn how to paint with Acrylics or Oils or increase your knowledge of how to use them. Bring a project of your choice or work on the demonstration piece. A typical demonstration piece will be on a 8 x 10 inch or a 9 x 12 inch size canvas/panel. You will learn basic color mixing, brush work, and composition as you develop your own style. An acrylic demonstration will be applicable to oil paints as well and vice-versa.
The color of paints and the brushes you might need may depend on your specific subject and style of painting you choose. See the attached list for colors and brushes used by the instructor. Please feel free to call me with questions. You will need to wear a mask in class and follow social distancing.
You will need to bring your own supplies including a table cover, brushes, paints, medium, and canvas or panel. Some brushes and canvasses are available to purchase in class at a discount price.
All levels are welcome.
