Perspective Drawing for Landscape and Architecture

This class will be a fun outdoor experience.
The class offers a guided drawing experience designed to introduce participants to new techniques and mixed mediums. The instructor will provide demonstrations, introduction of a variety of drawing techniques, one on one assistance and constructive critique of your work. All skill levels are welcome in this class taught by Lila Hauge-Stoffel, an instructor with many years of teaching experience. You can expect a fun, non-threatening class in which you’ll expand your drawing skills and learn to appreciate your work and the work of others.
Meeting time is Monday from 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm for 7 weeks.
Class begins February 15. Bring your own chair and a lap board approximately the size of your sketchbook. A mask and social distancing also required. Other supplies are noted below.
In order to keep us all healthy and safe a mask is required and appropriate social distancing.
The first class will be held at Esperanza Park. Drive west on Esperanza to the dead end. The Park is located on the South side of the road. Park on the side of the road at the dead end. There is an exit off of Hwy 19 to Esperanza. See you at 1:00 p.m. Don’t forget your hat. You will be provided a list of subsequent locations on the first day of class.
Basic Supplies: A lap board approximately the size of your sketchbook, graphite pencils (2H, 2B 4B, minimum), kneaded eraser, white plastic eraser, smooth drawing paper (Strathmore Bristol or other 90+ lb. smooth paper is recommended). Prismacolor or other high quality colored pencils, tracing paper, ruler, blending stump or tortillion, plastic table cover, and reference photographs. A drawing board is optional and adds to your comfort (1/2”foam core or masonite work well).
To Register: Registration opens February 6, 2021. Class is limited to twelve students.
Fee: $20.00 at the beginning of each class for the 7 classes.
