Class Description: Are you ready to improve your drawing skills? This class will help you draw with more confidence and accuracy. We’ll cover the elements and principles of drawing: proportions, perspective, contrast, movement and composition. Each week you’ll learn a new approach and technique for creating realistic drawings and I’ll share some images from art history to inspire you.
Supply List: (I’m flexible on materials/brands as long as you have the basics)
● Papers ○ 18″x24″ 80lbs or heavier drawing/sketch pad
○ small sketch pad (9”x12” or smaller)
● Medium ○ Graphite pencils: 4H 2B 6B (or similar assorted pencils)
○ Box of soft vine Charcoal
○ 1 Soft and 1 hard charcoal pencil
○ 1 terracotta pencil (chalk/pastel pencil, not waxy colored pencil)
● Additional Supplies ○ Drawing board
○ Kneaded eraser
○ Staedtler Mars plastic eraser (or equivalent) Pencil sharpener w/ canister
○ 18” metal ruler
○ Table covering
