Teacher Fee: Members and Non-members pay $100 payable to the instructor on the first day of class.

Class Description: Mixed Media is an exciting and creative way to do art. In this class we will print papers on a gelli plate to use in creating our Desert scenes. Combining these papers with other materials, such as fabric, acrylic paint, markers, pens, ink, gold foil, etc. to design an original work of art on either cradle boards, canvas boards, or stretched canvas. Working from a sketch or “inspirational” photograph, you will plan and create your art. Inspirational samples will be provided. Mixed media painting, as it is called, is a very flexible, artistic and intuitive way to create art. I will teach you step-by-step how to create your “one of a kind” art piece. You can do it realistically, or abstractly…your choice. Once finished, we will varnish them and prepare them for hanging.
Supply Fee: $5.00 per student
Each student will receive the following to use in their art:
A folder with different kinds of papers to use on the gelli plate, A sheet of gold foil and the use of my glue. Several different kinds of markers to use on the piece of art.
Note: These items are expensive if purchased by the artist, so I will give each student a few pieces of each paper I want them to try and then if they like something, they can buy more themselves.
Supply List: I will provide a supply list upon registration. Most folks have the materials to do this class unless they have never done any kind of art before.
