A recent transplant to Tucson, Sylvia Shanahan has brought her painting skills from Ohio to Florida and now to Arizona. Her work has shown in galleries in Ohio, Vermont, Georgia, and Florida and can be seen locally at the SAAG Gallery in Tucson. After being juried into two online galleries, Saatchi Art and Zatista, she acquired new collectors all over the country. One of her paintings, “Ophelia’s Pond Revisited” was selected to be included in the Samsung Frame TV in 2016 and was one of the top downloads for that product. She has won numerous awards in Ohio, Florida and Arizona, and currently teaches at The Arizona Sonoran Desert Museum, and Saddlebrook Ranch. You can reach her at
