Class Description:

Discover PanPastels, an innovative, fun, portable, versatile, erasable, easy to use and most forgiving medium on the planet! You will love the versatility and expressive potential of PanPastels, that bridges the gap between drawing and painting. Participants will learn their characteristics, tools, and techniques, as well as how to combine them with other media. Appropriate substrates and fixatives will also be discussed. Sunny will demonstrate how to build form through the use of light and shadow, correct or lift color with an eraser, and how to create depth and distance in a landscape. The soft quality of PanPastels makes it easy to achieve subtle gradations and a luminous effect. Participants will then have the opportunity to experiment hands-on with the medium, using professional tools to sketch, draw and paint. Join us and experience firsthand why PanPastels have become a favorite among artists seeking both control and creative freedom.
