Event: Club Meeting and Thank You to, President, Emilie Ortega
Come to say Good Job, Goodbye and Thank You to President, Emilie Ortega, for her outstanding contributions to our Painting Club for the last 2 years. Emilie wrote monthly emails about classes and activities to 175 plus members. She had to manage and partially take over the Education Coordinator job for 3/4th of the year when there was an emergency. She had to manage the situation from the loss of our dear friend, Chris Allinson, who was Monitor Coordinator by taking that job on as well. She met with prospective teachers and to help them plan what types of classes we needed to offer our students. She attended classes and observed how well the teacher/student class combination worked. She handled day-to-day President duties and gave 120% of her time and energy to the club. Thank you, Emilie, for a Job Well Done.

Why to come to the meetings? It is Free and Fun! To listen to guest speakers who enjoy talking about art. To see and learn about current activities in the club. Are their new teachers and new classes to be introduced? To listen to the President talk about future projects. To answer questions that you might have about our art club. To put your name in the drawing each month to try to win a $25 gift certificate to buy more art supplies. To have a cup of coffee and snacks with other people who are enjoying talking and learning about art. To learn what classes the other members have enjoyed taking. If you bring a piece of art to the meeting for Show and Share it gives you a chance to ask for help, brag about your artwork, ask the members for their opinion and more. You get a chance to discuss how and why you made your art piece and see the smile on their faces as you talk. You get a chance to see work from others who attended the same classes as you did. Come to the meetings because you want to spend time with fellow artists and develop new friendships. We would love to have you join us for our fun and informative meetings.
