Class Description: Have you always wondered what scratchboard art is and how to develop a picture by using a scratch tool on a hard board covered in porcelain clay and black India ink? This class provides the supplies to work on a scratchboard without having to purchase supplies for the class. Students will have a board, scratch tool, pattern of something with fur or feathers and will learn how to prepare the board for a pattern. They will learn how to use the tools for making different scratch marks to develop the subject on the board and how to color the picture once the subject is developed on the board.
