Class Description: Book Making
In this class we will create an accordion-style book that can be used for sketches, painting,
and mixed media. We will also create a flat book style journal. We will explore different
themes and ways to finish our books. At the completion of this project. We will have unique
books that are fit for your coffee table.
Materials List for Book Making
1 full sheet of watercolor paper
2 pieces of craft paper roughly 12 x 16
2 pieces of cardboard roughly 9 x 12
Watercolor or Mixed Media pad 9 x 12
White artist tape 1 ½ inches
Clear book tape (Amazon)
Bookbinding glue (Amazon)
Bone folder
Ruler
Scissors
Yes brand paste
Catalyst wedge or something similar to spread the glue
Paint and whatever supplies you want to work with
