Class Description: Zentangle is a method of creating artwork by drawing simple tangles, or patterns, one line at a time. Zentangle isn’t just about drawing. It focuses the mind, relaxes the body, and builds confidence. With Zentangle, “anything is possible, one stroke at a time”….Jane Marbaix, from her book “Zentangles for Kids”.
The first session on September 17, the theme will be “Let’s Leaf Together”. Zentangle Art patterns will be drawn and practiced and then put into a leaf shape or a pumpkin shape, which I will provide. Bring your Zentangle supplies along with colored pencils or pens to enhance the beauty of your design.
The second session on September 24, will be what everyone has been asking for…”It’s Hip to be Square”. You will be working on tangles that start with a square, BUT do they end in a square? Come find out. These will be used on yes, the cowgirl/boy boot shape, if you so desire. This could also be called “Boot Scootin Boogie”. Again bring your Zentangle Art supplies, colored pencils or other coloring method you prefer, i.e. Colored pens, water color, etc.
Supply List: Master’s Touch pens or Sakura Micron pens in various sizes. I will furnish the papers, pencils, etc. There will be a fee of $10 for those who need all the supplies. Please let me know this when you register.
