Description:
Come join Emilie for a 2-week beginner class in the art of Gelli Plate Print making on various papers. The first class will be to create your gelli prints for the second class where we will create collage art on a canvas or cradle board. In the second class we will design our painting around the subject of “Flower Power”. If you have never made your own printed papers to use in Collage, this is a class for you. Let me warn you – IT IS ADDICTIVE!
This class will get you introduced to the Gelli Plate and using your own created prints to create magical flower collage art. We will use acrylic paint and a variety of tools such as stencils, rubber bands, string, bubble wrap, flowers, leaves, to name a few, to create our designs on the gelli plate and use all different kinds of paper to “pull” the print off of the plate. Be aware, if you don’t have a gelli plate, you will need to buy one for this class. I got mine on Amazon, but there are other places to get them too. There are many sizes, and I will leave that up to you. The easiest would be an 8×10 plate, but you can go smaller or larger if you like. So, grab your paints and come join me for a fun and rewarding experience in the art of Gelli Printing and Collage.
