Charcoal Drawing – In this class you will learn how to use charcoal to improve your overall drawing skills. You will learn specific drawing techniques and approaches to charcoal. Charcoal is one of the oldest and most beloved materials in art. From ancient cave paintings to Da Vinci to Picasso, artists have used charcoal to express themselves.
Each week (5-week series) we will draw a different subject, ranging from still-life, landscape, animals, figures and portraits. We will look at inspiring images from art history that demonstrate the techniques you will learn.
