Alcohol Inks and Embossed Copper: A Class in Mixed Media –

Facilitated by Dell Madelyn

September 9, 2022

Time: 9:00 to Noon

Alcohol inks are fast-drying, highly pigmented, alcohol-based inks that can be used on any hard, non-porous surface. Once the ink is applied, the alcohol evaporates, leaving the dye behind. They’re semi-transparent which means they can be layered and combined together to create gorgeous effects. In this class we will use copper foil as our base. You will learn the basics of simple copper embossing using machines and our own design ideas. Once a piece is embossed, we will dye it with our alcohol inks. Each student will go home with a final piece of their own design, mounted on a display board, or with elements for future projects.

Class cost is $50 and all materials and equipment are supplied.

Join me for this fun and imaginative approach to mixed media art.

Maximum class size is 15
