Watercolor Cactus Blossoms – presented by Susan Morris –

Wednesdays, 9am to noon, May 14, 21, 28, and June 4 (4 classes).

Skill Level:  Intermediate to advanced.  This is not a beginner class, but if you are approaching the intermediate level, you could be accepted.  You must be knowledgeable in the basic skills required for a beginner such as, washes and glazes.

Cost: $100.00 for members and $140.00 non-members.

 No material fee as students will bring all their own supplies.  A supply list will be provided upon registration.  Registration begins NOW.

Description:                                                                                                                                                                                                                     One of the rewards of staying in this fierce desert this time of year is the vibrant colors of the succulent blossoms contrasted against the prickly spines and leathery flesh of the cactus.   Painting them in water is the best medium to show them off!!!  This course will review watercolor techniques, include tips in composition, and a bit of color theory through instructor demos and personalized attention, helping you work step by step to make these blossoming beauties come to life in your painting.  You must bring your own photos, either taken by you or from a magazine to work with in creating your own painting.
