Medium: Watercolor – painting on specific watercolor paper.
Date: Monday, June 5, 12, 19, 26 (skip 4th of July week) July 10, 2023
Time: Mondays from 1:30 to 4:00 pm

Class Description: Karen’s passion is all about objects that are shiny, transparent or translucent. By using these objects, she wants to achieve a painting that takes the viewer into that world. Reflections, distortions, plus realistic painting are the key to make that happen. She wants to share all the techniques needed to paint objects that appear to be made of metal or maybe glass in a setting that brings nature into the painting. She will bring the necessary items needed, use the outdoor light for setup, rearrange these objects constantly until each participant achieves the perfect composition. A regular digital camera or a smart phone will be needed for this first session.
The next four weeks will be split into four steps with demonstrations beginning each class, followed by painting time filled with instruction. Complete this step during the following week before the next class. At the end of the five weeks, each student will have a final critique session with the entire class, all filled with smiles and happy faces!
Registration Starts: May 22, 2023
Fee: $100 payable to instructor at first class.
