Jean Pastore is a award winning professional artist. She has been painting as long as she can remember. She attended Colorado State College where she studied art and education. Over the years Jean she taken art classes and studied with many well know artist to perfect her skill.
Jean is a gifted artist, originally from Colorado and attributes her successful painting style to her love of the Rocky Mountains, the colorful sweeping landscapes of the Southwest, the tropical beaches of Hawaii, the incredible beauty of the plants and animals around us.
Jean hasn’t always been a full-time artist. For many years she was busy raising a family and worked in the insurance industry as a Property and Casualty Insurance underwriter/broker for 30 years. She has always loved art, decided to get serious about painting in the 1990’s and has never looked back.
Jean was a popular art instructor in Colorado before becoming a full-time resident of Arizona. She has taught watercolor and acrylic painting in Quail Creek since 2010. Jean earned signature status in of the Colorado Watercolor Society and is a member of the Southern Arizona Watercolor Guild where she has attained signature membership status and has earned the prestigious Saguaro Fellow Award in the guild.
Jean has been a professional artist since 1999 and has displayed her art in shows, festivals and one person exhibitions. Her paintings have received numerous awards in juried art exhibitions and are currently featured in private and corporate collections all over the world.
