In this class you will learn different techniques and approaches to painting flowers with acrylic paint. From desert cactus blooms to cut flowers, we are surrounded by grace and beauty. The goal is to capture both the feeling, form and colors of these delicate flowers. We will cover the basics of woring with acrylic, sketching, color theory, and a bit of art history. Each week we will work on a different image, both from life and photos. We will start by looking at inspiring images from art history that demonstrate the techniques. Beginners welcome (some experience in working with acrylics very helpful) and Laura will work with the more advanced students to help you hone your skills.

Dates: Fridays, May 3, 10, 17, 24, and 31, 2024 (5 weeks)
Times: 9:00 am to 12:00 pm
Skill level: Beginner to Advanced (Some previous experience with Acrylics is helpful)
Class Fee: $100.00, payable to instuctor at 1st class.
